You know sometimes you need a safety book. One you know you liked, but enough time has passed that you can not remember why. That what [b:Anansi Boys|6589085|Anansi Boys|Neil Gaiman|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327114338s/6589085.jpg|1007964]is for me.
As of late I have been caught up in Mr. Gaiman new book, stories, tv and blogs. which had led to friends asking "well which one is your favorite?" and I could not give a honest answer.
So diving back in to Neil's past book to see.
I can say at first as most that Fat Charlie is not likeable but that the point of a classic hero story right. You take someone and you put him through the pace and what you come out with is a better version and that what this is story of one unlikeable guy and he his brother and how they grow. Throw in some God and monster some magic realism and you get a good classic hero journey.
